We’re marking our 36th anniversary!
In 2016, we mark 36 years since we were established as the first (and still the only) member society of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants outside of the United States. The Canadian Society of Mayflower Descendants received its charter from the General Society on September 13, 1980. Of the CSMD’s charter members in 1980, five continue as active Society members: Sharon Cadieux of Kingston ON; Lynn Pierce-Hanlon and Vance Pierce of Holland Landing ON; Abbie Thompson of Victoria BC; and Leon Warmski of Oakville ON.

The Canadian Society of Mayflower Descendants regularly uses email to keep our members and prospective members informed. While you can always ask that your name be removed from our email list, please keep in mind that its use allows the CSMD to be as effective as it is. There are cases where we do not have volunteers to send physical mailings by Canada Post. We don’t send spam.
Help Expand our Membership
So you have your Mayflower lineage duly authenticated and approved. And you’re rightly proud of your membership. But what about your family members? Encourage them to submit their applications at a reduced cost. Ask your family members to contact the Co-Historian to get the process started.
Members’ Biographies and Headshots
We welcome members’ biographies and headshot pictures for inclusion in our membership database. If you have not yet sent yours, please submit them to the digital administrator. Your bio should be short (a couple of paragraphs) and can include family, hobbies, career, education, etc. Have you previously submitted a bio and would like to update it? Please feel free to email details to the digital administrator.
